LightFair Recap:
“LEDs Emerge to Fight Flourescents” heralded the Associated Press recap of the LightFair International show, May 8 - 10, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Lighting professionals immersed themselves in the latest products and the newest thinking about their industry, with LEDs and Green technologies taking center stage. LEDs generated great interest, packing classes with attendees intent on learning about the emerging systems that promise to rock the way lighting happens.
The totally new 20’x20’ FC booth at the show featured all LED products, offered new literature and drew great interest from attendees. A total of 321 architects, designers and specifiers put their names on the line for more information, split about 50-50 between newcomers and existing users already familiar with FC who wanted information on new products.
The names are being added to FC’s marketing database for distribution to appropriate sales representatives and agents for additional follow-up.
SSL Brochure:
The new Solid State Lighting (SSL) brochure, produced in time for distribution at LightFair, was well received by customers and agents alike. The 12-page publication positions LED-based lighting as a paradigm shift in architectural lighting and positions FC Lighting at the leading edge of that shift. It reviews the essential benefits of SSL (energy efficiency, long service life, optical and digital control, toughness and low temperature performance), lists the advantages of FC fixtures (marine-grade housings, advanced thermal management, powder-coat finishes and more), using thermal imaging to illustrate FC’s effective thermal control design approach. The brochure wraps up by displaying the new “Edge” SSL Lighting Education Center at FC’s new St. Charles, IL, headquarters, and presents the Comet, Lunar, Orbit an Equinox product lines.
